I do apologise for the fact there isn't any documentation. If you wish to use a SF symbol with the colour of your choice, set the blend mode to normal, and the color will not be changed in anyway. I will definitely think of integrating a feature that fits your bill, though.īlend modes work best for images or emojis, that is true, it should do the same thing as typical photo editor's blend modes. However, if you want to get to something similar to system folders, maybe you can try a black SF symbol + blend mode of soft light. I just wanted to make something that is quick and easy, with some customisability. Regarding making it look like system folders, that wasn't quite the intention of the app. I know it's hard to believe, but the naming is purely coincidental, even thought both apps deal with folder images. I was only made aware of another app, which isn't related to this in any way, named Iconic, after about a month of releasing this app. Thanks for your in-depth feedback and concerns! Maybe they're for color images? Documentation would help here, but there is none. When I applied it, I got a TOTALLY DIFFERENT COLOR! What a waste of time! Most of the "Blend Modes" hide the SF icons. It has a color picker, and with some work, I was able to come close to the system color. This app could really use a system color preset to make that easy, but it doesn't have one. ![]() However, matching the system folder overlay color is impossible. I tried using some of the included SF symbols, and they have great potential, with the ability to select their line weight. It let me apply images to folder icons so that they looked just like system folder icons. I've been using an app called Iconic since around 2012. Do note that this app is not related to the older app of the same name in any way or form, in case you are wondering. I was made known after the release of this app, that there used to be another app in the past, that has similar functionality, coincidentally with the same name by another developer.
